Custom Brewery & Distillery Labels
A production floor has a lot of things that look alike: sacks of malt, drums of chemical, a wall of gaskets and clamps. Our labels give each one a name in heavy white lettering on Workshop Red, Heritage Black or Cobalt Blue, readable from across the brewhouse.
Grain room and ingredient storage
Label grain room shelving and pallet bays by type: Base Malt, Specialty, Adjuncts. Keep Hops and Yeast clearly marked where they live, usually a cold room or freezer. When a new brewer weighs out a recipe, a labeled bay cuts the chance of grabbing the wrong sack, and receiving goes faster when every delivery has an obvious home.
Distilleries can do the same with grain bills by mash: Bourbon, Rye and wheat bins, plus a Mill Room sign on the door so visitors know where the dust is.
Chemical and CIP storage
Keep Caustic, Acid, Sanitizer and PAA on separate, clearly labeled shelves, with acids and caustics physically apart. Use one color only for chemical labels, for example Heritage Black, so nobody confuses a chemical shelf with an ingredient shelf. Our labels name the shelf; they are not a substitute for the supplier's hazard labels or your SDS binder.
PLA is fine in a dry chemical room but is not chemical-proof. Mount labels on the shelf edge or wall above, not where caustic or acid will splash or drip on them, and wipe them with a damp cloth.
Tool boards, tanks and what magnets stick to
A tool board near the brewhouse works best labeled by part family: Tri-Clamps, Gaskets, Hoses, Fittings, Valves, Spare Parts. On painted steel cabinets, steel pegboard and steel racking, the exposed N52 magnets grip hard and you can rearrange anytime.
Fermenters, brite tanks, kettles and most stills are 304 or 316 stainless, which is usually not magnetic. For tank and vessel signage like Fermenter 3 or Brite Tank, choose the 3M VHB adhesive backing and mount on a cool, dry spot such as a platform rail or the wall behind the tank.
Keep labels away from heat and washdown
PLA softens around 55 to 60C. Do not mount labels on kettles, hot liquor tanks, still pots, steam lines or anything in the path of hot washdown. Barrel room signage does well on racking ends and walls. If a label breaks or a magnet lets go in normal use, our 1-Year Hold Guarantee covers a free replacement.

Brewery & Distillery label questions
Do magnets stick to stainless brewery tanks?
Usually not. Most fermenters, brite tanks and kettles are 304 or 316 stainless, which is non-magnetic. Use the 3M VHB adhesive backing for tank signage and save magnets for painted steel cabinets and racking.
Can I use these labels on a hot liquor tank or still?
No. The labels are PLA, which softens around 55 to 60C. Mount them on cool surfaces nearby, such as platform rails, walls or racking, never on hot vessels or steam lines.
How should I label CIP chemicals in a brewery?
Give Caustic, Acid, Sanitizer and PAA their own labeled shelves, keep acids and caustics apart, and use one color only for chemicals. Shelf labels supplement, and never replace, supplier hazard labels and SDS sheets.
What is the longest word I can put on a label?
Up to 12 characters, limited by printed width under 243mm. The builder checks each label live, and Condensed fits longer words like Brite Tank 2.
How long do custom brewery labels take to ship?
They print to order in Oregon and ship in 3 to 5 business days with free US shipping. Five labels are $13.99 and each extra label is $2.00.
