Custom Electrical Labels

A service van that is labeled restocks itself: you read the empty shelf instead of digging through it. Label your bins and shelves with the exact parts you carry, in bold text you can read from the van door.

Organize the van the way you work a call

Most electricians organize by job type. Device work needs Outlets, Switches, GFCI, Dimmers, Boxes and Covers together. Connection work needs Wire Nuts, Connectors, Terminals, Splices and Heat Shrink. Panel work needs Breakers, Lugs and Grounding. Labeling shelves by those groups means you grab one bin per task and the apprentice can restock without a list.

Keep low-voltage parts (Low Volt, Data, Coax) on a separate shelf with a different label color so they never get mixed into line-voltage stock. Cobalt Blue for line voltage and Heritage Black for low voltage is a common split. Put meters, testers, strippers and crimpers in their own labeled drawer near the door so the tools you carry to every call never end up buried under a box of connectors.

Mirror the van in the parts room

If you run more than one van or keep a stock room at the shop, label the parts room shelves with the same words, in the same order, as the van shelves. Restocking becomes a straight walk down two matching rows, and anyone on the crew can load a truck at 6am without a pick list. Labels are 34mm tall and up to 243mm wide, so they fit across a shelf lip or the face of a drawer cabinet, but not on the tiny compartments of a small parts organizer: label the organizer, not each cell.

Built for a moving vehicle

Van shelving systems are almost always steel, which suits our exposed N52 magnets. The magnets sit directly against the metal for maximum grip, so labels stay put on rough roads and through doors slamming all day. When you rebuild the shelving layout, pull the labels off and move them. Many van racks use aluminum components, so check with a magnet first.

For plastic parts organizers, aluminum racks and bin fronts, choose the 3M VHB adhesive backing in the builder. Be honest with yourself about heat: the labels are PLA, which softens around 55 to 60C. Shelving in the cargo area is usually fine, but a dashboard or the inside of a rear window in summer sun is not.

Electrical label sets

Ready-made sets of the words this trade labels most, grouped by where they go. Each set opens in the builder with every label in place; add, remove or retype any of them before you order.

Device Shelf labels

Magnetic van shelving labels for electricians. The van shelf that covers most service calls: devices, boxes and covers. Label each bin with the exact part so you grab a GFCI or an old work box on the first try, and the apprentice can restock from the empty spots.

Conduit and Panel labels

Magnetic labels for conduit fittings bins. Conduit work runs on fittings, straps and support. Label bins by type so EMT fittings stay out of the PVC bin, and keep lugs, grounding and strut hardware together for panel and service jobs.

Splice and Terminate labels

Magnetic labels for wire terminal and connector bins. Small connection parts are where a van gets messy. Give terminals, butt splices, ferrules and heat shrink their own labeled bins, and keep tape and zip ties beside them so every connection job pulls from one spot.

Tool Drawers labels

Magnetic tool drawer labels for electricians. Testers, meters, strippers and crimpers go to every call. Label a drawer for each near the van door so the tools you carry daily never get buried under a box of connectors, and the knockout set stays complete.

Low Volt Shelf labels

Magnetic low voltage parts shelf labels. Keep low voltage stock on its own labeled shelf, in its own label color, so it never mixes with line voltage parts. Data, coax and support hardware each get a bin, which makes structured cabling jobs quicker to load.

Pricing

The same price as our custom order page: $13.99 for the first 5 labels, $2.00 for each label after that, with a 5-label minimum. Big orders get cheaper: extra labels past 25 drop to $1.75 and past 50 to $1.50. There is no maximum order size. Magnets are included. Adhesive backing (3M VHB, for non-magnetic surfaces) is an optional add-on; its price is confirmed at order and is not included in the prices above.

Electrical label questions

Will magnetic labels stay on van shelving while driving?

Yes. The N52 magnets are exposed and sit flush against steel shelving for maximum holding force, and the labels are lightweight. For plastic bins or aluminum racks, use the 3M VHB adhesive option.

Can I separate low-voltage and line-voltage parts by color?

Yes. Place one order per color, for example Cobalt Blue for line voltage and Heritage Black for low voltage. Each order has a 5-label minimum.

Can I print abbreviations like GFCI or AFCI?

Yes. Any text up to 12 characters that fits our 243mm width limit. Choose ALL CAPS or Title Case in the builder.

Can I use these as panel or circuit labels?

No. They are storage and organization labels for vans, shelves and parts rooms. They are not a substitute for panel directories, arc flash or other required electrical markings.

How much does it cost to label a whole van?

The first 5 labels are $13.99, then $2.00 for each extra label, dropping to $1.75 past label 25 and $1.50 past label 50. A 30-label van layout is $62.74 with free US shipping.
