Custom Veterinary Clinic Labels
A vet clinic changes all day: patients move from intake to surgery to recovery, exam rooms turn over, and the pharmacy shelf has to be right every time. Our labels put large white words on Cobalt Blue, Heritage Black or Workshop Red so techs, assistants and doctors find things and read status without stopping.
How to set up a kennel and ward board
A magnetic whiteboard by the treatment area works best with fixed headers and movable tags. Put zone labels like Kennels, Isolation, Surgery, Recovery and Boarding across the top, then move status tags like NPO, Fed, Walked, Meds Due and Discharge under each patient as the day goes on. A tag that moves is harder to forget than a note that gets erased.
Many clinics use color to separate meaning: one color for zones and another for status tags that need action. Each order prints in one color, so place one order per color; each has the 5-label minimum.
Labeling exam rooms and the treatment area
Exam room doors and steel carts benefit from simple labels such as Exam 1, Exam 2 and Treatment, and inside the cabinets by supply family: Catheters, Syringes, Needles, Bandaging, E-Collars and Muzzles. Keep every exam room stocked in the same layout so a relief vet or new assistant can grab what they need while holding a patient.
The Hyperlegible font keeps I, l and 1 distinct, which matters on labels with numbers. Condensed fits longer words when a shelf edge is narrow.
Organizing pharmacy shelves
Group the pharmacy by category first: Vaccines, Flea & Tick, Heartworm, Dewormers, Antibiotics, Pain Meds, then by species if your volume is high. Large category labels speed up filling and restocking, but they are a navigation aid only. Keep your drug logs, controlled substance storage and product labeling exactly as your state board and practice protocols require.
Will the magnets stick, and how do I clean them?
Exposed N52 magnets grip ferrous steel hard: painted steel cabinets, steel carts, filing cabinets and magnetic whiteboards. Most stainless kennel banks, exam tables and sinks are non-magnetic stainless, and wood or laminate will not hold a magnet either. For those choose the 3M VHB adhesive backing in the builder, an optional add-on (price confirmed at order) that is semi-permanent.
The labels are PLA plastic, softening around 55 to 60C, so keep them off sterilizers, dryers and heat lamps, and they are not for sterilizing. Wipe with a damp cloth or mild cleaner and avoid hosing them down in kennel runs.
Veterinary Clinic label sets
Ready-made sets of the words this trade labels most, grouped by where they go. Each set opens in the builder with every label in place; add, remove or retype any of them before you order.

Veterinary Clinic label questions
Do magnetic labels stick to stainless steel kennels?
Usually not. Most stainless kennel banks are non-magnetic, so choose the 3M VHB adhesive backing option. Painted steel cabinets and whiteboards work well with the magnets.
Can I use these on a vet clinic patient whiteboard?
Yes. On a magnetic whiteboard they work as movable headers and status tags that slide as patients change wards, with no rewriting.
Can I hose down or disinfect the labels?
Wipe them with a damp cloth or mild cleaner. They are not rated for submersion or high-pressure washing, so keep them out of kennel runs that get hosed.
Can I color-code ward status labels?
Yes. Each order prints in one color, so place one order per color, for example blue for zones and red for action tags.
How fast do custom veterinary labels ship?
They are printed to order in Oregon and ship in 3 to 5 business days with free US shipping.
