Custom Woodshop Labels
Router bits, Forstner bits, saw blades, chisels and finishing supplies all live in drawers that look identical. Put a bold, movable label on each one and stop opening drawers to find out what is inside.
Organize by task, not by tool brand
The fastest woodshops group storage around the operation you are doing: marking and layout, cutting, joinery, shaping, sanding and finishing. A drawer labeled Marking holds your squares, gauges and knives together, so you grab one drawer for layout instead of three. Joinery hardware such as Dowels, Biscuits and Pocket Hole screws gets its own drawer next to the jigs that use it.
Bits and blades deserve the clearest labels in the shop because they are expensive, sharp and easy to misplace. Separate Router Bits, Drill Bits and Forstner bits, and give your Dado Set a dedicated spot so it never ends up mixed with general saw blades.
Built for sawdust, not just a clean garage
Our labels are solid 3D-printed parts, not paper or vinyl. Dust wipes off the flat top with a dry brush or a blast of compressed air, and the white lettering stays legible because it is a separate printed color, not ink that can wear away. They are 34mm tall, which keeps the text big enough to read from the bench while you are holding a workpiece.
The exposed N52 magnets grip steel tool chests, metal cabinets and steel drawer faces. Wood cabinets, plywood drawers and aluminum cases are not magnetic, so pick the 3M VHB adhesive option in the builder for those. VHB is the same foam tape family used to mount trim on cars, so it holds on sanded or finished wood.
One heat caution: the labels are PLA plastic, which softens around 55 to 60C. Keep them away from a shop stove, heat gun station or glue pot, and off a south-facing window wall that bakes in summer.
Color choices that work in a wood shop
Heritage Black reads as the most understated option on maple and birch plywood cabinets. Workshop Red stands out on dark finishes and is a good warning color for drawers holding blades and sharp tools. Cobalt Blue is easy on the eyes for large banks of drawers.
If you teach woodworking or share the shop with family, use color to separate zones: red for cutting tools, blue for hand tools, black for supplies. New users learn the system in a day. Each order prints in one color, so each color is its own order with the 5-label minimum.
Woodshop label sets
Ready-made sets of the words this trade labels most, grouped by where they go. Each set opens in the builder with every label in place; add, remove or retype any of them before you order.
Bits and Blades labels
Magnetic labels for router bit and drill bit drawers. Bits and blades are expensive, sharp and easy to mix up. Give router bits, Forstner bits, hole saws and the dado set their own labeled drawers so you grab the right cutter without digging through a pile of edges.

Bench Hand Tools labels
Magnetic workbench drawer labels for hand tools. Labels for the drawers under the bench, grouped by the work you are doing. Marking and layout tools live together, shaping tools live together, and the sharpening kit sits right next to the chisels and planes it keeps sharp.

Joinery Hardware labels
Magnetic labels for woodworking hardware drawers. Dowels, biscuits, pocket hole screws and cabinet hardware all come in small boxes that look the same. Label a drawer for each and keep them near the jigs that use them, so a build never stalls hunting for one hinge.

Finishing Cabinet labels
Magnetic finishing cabinet labels for stains and glue. The metal cabinet that holds finishes, stains and glue. Label each shelf so the shellac does not hide behind the poly, the rags and tack cloth stay with the finishes, and the sandpaper is sorted before you need it.

Clamp and Jig Wall labels
Magnetic clamp rack labels for woodshops. A clamp rack only works if every clamp goes back to its spot. Label sections by clamp type, and give jigs, push sticks and cauls their own place on the wall so they are at hand when a glue-up starts.

Woodshop label questions
Will magnetic labels stick to wooden cabinets?
No, magnets need steel. For wood, plywood or MDF drawers, select the 3M VHB adhesive backing in the builder. The labels then mount semi-permanently with industrial foam tape.
How do I clean sawdust off the labels?
Brush or blow them off. The top surface is flat with no raised lettering, so dust does not pack into grooves. A damp cloth handles finish overspray.
What is the longest word I can put on a label?
Up to 12 characters, as long as it fits the printed width limit of 243mm. Router Bits and Sharpening fit easily, but some wide words such as FEATHERBOARD in all caps do not; the builder checks every label as you type.
Can I order just five labels for a small shop?
Yes. The minimum is 5 labels for $13.99 with free US shipping, and each extra label is $2.00, so 10 labels cost $23.99.
